The latest edition of Paranoia has been out for a while and since I’ve got a few missions under my belt, I figured I’d share my index. I use it to quickly reference stuff across the various rule books (and the Mission Book and supplements, when appropriate), and I’m hoping to use it as a springboard to build a much more pretty-looking index some day. Check it out!

Update! Includes the following publications:

  • Paranoia: Ultraviolet Clearance Edition (Kickstarter)
  • Acute Paranoia
  • Yellow Clearance Black Box Blues (Remastered)
  • Implausible Deniability
  • Truth or Dare

…And the card sets:

  • More [REDACTED] Societies
  • Mutant Explosion
  • RAM Deck
  • Perfectly Safe Gear

Index & Variant Rules

The first index is the Paranoia: Red Clearance Edition Index & Alternate Card Rules (Google Doc).

This Google Doc provides a simple index of oft-referenced in-world setting details (Secret Societies, Service Groups, etc.) as well as mechanics that crop up often, or have references spread across multiple sources.

Additionally, this document includes a slew of variant rules to help manage cards, or a lack thereof. Since I personally play Paranoia online, it’s hard to really make the cards work how they are intended in the game, so I’ve developed ways to use them, ignore them, or simply draw inspiration from them. This includes a simple, non-card based initiative system.

Paranoia Card Index

The second index is Paranoia Card Index (Google Sheet).

This sheet breaks up all of the cards into separate tabs by type of card (Action, Mutant Powers, Equipment, etc.). The Card Index tab covers everything, so you can see it all at a glance alphabetically by type, or you can just go to the tab of the type of card you want and poke around in there.

For most types of cards, I added a numbering system so you can randomly roll to select a card. This is useful if you use some of the variant rules from the first index I noted above, or if you just want to randomly “draw” stuff from the PDF files of the cards (if you don’t own the physical rules, or don’t have the cards handy for whatever reason).
