Resumé
You can find my up-to-date resumé at linkedin.com/in/timbannock.
- There’s also this nicely formatted, in-depth PDF version if you’re into that!
- Oh, and here’s one focused on all the tabletop RPGs I’ve worked on in varying capacities.
Portfolio
I’ve worn a lot of hats in my professional career, and have turned my hobby into a fun and lucrative side hustle at times.
- You can download a brief professional portfolio of my work here.
- Want to see some analytics work I’ve done? Here’s a case study with marketing recommendations for a bike rental program.
- I have a minor background in education, as well. See one example of how I’ve merged education with roleplay as part of my final project for the course Learning How to Learn: Powerful mental tools to help you master tough subjects.
Podcast Appearances
I’m incredibly grateful to have been featured on several podcasts, discussing the history and cultural impact of Dungeons & Dragons and other tabletop roleplaying games, as well as running game sessions and entire campaigns! Use the links below, or check them out on your favorite podcast network like Anchor, iTunes, Spotify, etc.
Enter The Nerdom. I talked D&D history and tabletop RPGs in general on Enter The Nerdom hosted by Chad Cook, Stan Moroncini, and Watson Bradshaw. We then played some game sessions with special guest Dan Mason using Ben Milton’s Knave (a modern/OSR “remix” of the 1981-era B/X Dungeons & Dragons).
- Enter The Nerdom EP. 12 – Rolling for Initiative
- Enter The Nerdom EP. 14 – D&D Adventure Begins
- Enter The Nerdom EP. 16 – D&D Adventure Continues
- Enter The Nerdom EP. 17 – D&D Adventure Ends
We also played a session of ALIEN The Roleplaying Game, then on a separate episode chatted about ALIEN Romulus.
Reimagine Success. I spoke with Reimagine Success hosted by Melissa LeEllen and Jesse Biondi (of Creative Global Branding) about my tabletop game publishing (specifically Astonishing Super Heroes), as well as the role of tabletop roleplaying games in education – Season 1 Episode 14: Role Playing Games’ Role in Society.
Let’s Start Over, Shall We. I was the story consultant and game moderator for all available sessions for Let’s Start Over, Shall We? (LSOSW), the MCU-inspired actual play campaign using Astonishing Super Heroes.
Worldbuilder’s Anvil. Over at the Worldbuilder’s Anvil hosted by Jefferey Ingram and Michael Miller, my cousin Matthew and I talked about one of our OSR adventure modules – Episode 233 The Bannocks Go to Dalentown Part 1 and Episode 234 The Bannocks Go to Dalentown Part 2. In past episodes, they also featured Matthew’s roleplaying game Descriptors, which I helped publish!
Dungeon Master’s Guildhall. I was also interviewed by Travis Legge on The Dungeon Master’s Guildhall (links appear to be defunct now), a Dungeon Masters Guild-related interview podcast formerly available at DMsGuild.com, where I got my start in games publishing – and have sold tens of thousands of units! – back in 2016.
Other Interviews
I’ve had the pleasure to correspond with a few other wonderful folks in the tabletop gaming industry about writing and games.
- An interview about my DMsGuild releases and Dungeon Mastering techniques at Rand Roll.
- An interview about adventure writing for the DMsGuild with best-selling adventure writer, researcher, and educator Ashley Warren.
